Authors talked about their books about American politics. They held a panel discussion moderated by Iris Krasnow and responded to questions from members of the audience. Topics included the presidential campaigns, combating terrorism, the use of torture by the Central Intelligence Agency, and the struggles of investigative journalists with national security and classified information.

Evan Thomas is the author of A Long Time Coming: The Inspiring Combative Campaign of 2008 and the Historic Election of Barack Obama (PublicAffairs; January 6, 2009)

Michael Isikoff is the co-author of Hubris: The Inside Story of Spin, Scandal, and the Selling of the Iraq War, published by Crown.

Garrett Graff is the author of The First Campaign: Globalization, the Web, and the Race for the White House, published in December 2007 by Farrar, Straus and Giroux.
