The House Energy and Commerce Committee met for a markup hearing to draft legislation that would reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Members debated provisions and proposed amendments to the energy legislation. The proposed bill included new Corporate Average Fuel economy (CAFE) standards for vehicles and “cap and trade” rules for emissions.
