Ingrid Betancourt talked about her book Even Silence Has an End: My Six Years of Captivity in the Colombian Jungle. In 2002, while campaigning as a candidate in the Colombian presidential elections, Ingrid Betancourt was abducted by the FARC. She would spend the next six and a half years in the depths of the jungle as a prisoner. Ms. Betancourt responded to questions from members of the audience.

This program of the Texas Book Festival was held in the C-SPAN/Book TV Tent. The program closes with scenes from the festival. close
