White House Press Secretary Jay Carney and Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood briefed reporters and answered questions. Secretary Lahood warned that budget sequestration would result in major airport delays and the reduction of air traffic controllers. He also said the Federal Aviation Administration would need to cut $600 million out of their budget by furloughing employees and closing some air traffic control towers in smaller cities. Mr. Carney’s remarks focused on the president’s schedule. close
