Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) spoke on the Senate floor about legislation he was planning to offer the next week that would block proposed Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations from going into effect. The rules proposed by the IRS would prevent certain organizations that applyed for tax-exempt status from engaging in various political activities.
