House Armed Services Committee Chair Buck McKeon (R-CA) reacted to the Obama administration’s justification for not notifying members of Congress before the U.S.-Taliban prisoner exchange that secured the release of U.S. Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl. He spoke after a closed-door briefing of all House lawmakers by Obama administration officials in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. He was concerned by the administration telling 80-90 people about the exchange, but no members of Congress. Other concerns included the increased risk to other armed forces. close
