Government health experts tasked with tracking the spread of dangerous diseases such as monkey pox and human rabies spoke at the 2014 Aspen Ideas Festival in Aspen, Colorado. The Center for Disease Control’s (CDC) “Disease Detectives” talked about their investigations of human and animal epidemics around the world, including the SARS and MERS viruses, as well as other threats like contaminated steroids and bioterrorism.
