The House Rules Committee met to consider amendments for floor debate on H.R. 22, the surface transportation reauthorization bill. The legislation would provide a six-year authorization of highway and transit programs to cover shortfalls in the Highway Trust Fund, but includes only three years of appropriated funds.

Proposed amendments included a number of transportation-related provisions as well as the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank. The committee recessed before taking votes on the amendments. close
