Nick Corasaniti spoke by telephone about the April 19, 2016, New York Democratic primary campaigns of presidential candidates Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. He talked about the relative strengths of Senator Sanders, who was born in the Bronx, and former Senator Clinton (D-NY). He also commented about the Sanders campaign ad shown at the beginning of the program. The ad, “Erica,” was a new version of the Sanders ad “It’s Not Over” released in South Carolina February 16, 2016. It featured Erica Garner, the daughter of Eric Garner, who died in police custody in New York City. close
