Telephone lines were open for viewer comments on the announcement the previous day by the Commission on Presidential Debates that the Libertarian and Green Party nominees would be excluded from the first presidential debate on September 26, 2016, and the October 4, 2016, vice-presidential debate. The lines were divided among those supporting a third party, Clinton, Trump, and all others. A video clip was shown of Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson speaking about the debates on “Newsmakers” August 12, 2016, and a message he released the previous day was shown. A September 15, 2016, Tweet with video from Green Party nominee Jill Stein was shown.

Video clips from the previous day were shown of Donald Trump talking about the birthplace of President Obama and a reaction from Mrs. Obama.

Scenes were shown from the C-SPAN Campaign Bus. The program concluded with a video clip from the C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) stop on their “2016 LCV Cities Tour” in Grand Rapids, Michiga close
