More than 300 members of the United Kingdom’s youth parliament, ages 11 to 18, gathered in the British House of Commons for their annual debate of five topics being considered for their national campaign. In this part of the debate, the students discussed cuts to the U.K.'s National Health Service, with a focus on mental health services. House of Commons Speaker John Bercow presided over the session. The debate was preceded by opening speeches by members of Parliament, a letter from Prime Minister Theresa May, and a moment of silence for Armistice Day. close
