Acting Undersecretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Tom Countryman presented the 15th edition of the annual report, To Walk the Earth in Safety, which chronicles the progress made in reducing the global threat posed by landmines and other conventional weapons. He was joined in responding to questions from the reporters in the State Department by Stan Brown, director of the Office of Weapons Removal and Abatement in the Bureau of Political-Military Affairs.
