Representative Michael Burgess (R-TX), a physician and chair of the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health, talked about Republican efforts to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act. He said he was open to allowing states keep their Medicaid expansion. Following his remarks and a question and answer period, health care benefits officials for major companies such as Boeing, Walmart and Wells Fargo talked about the challenges of keeping their work force healthy and providing affordable employer based insurance plans costs.
