Steve Perry, founder of Capital Preparatory Schools, talked about the disparities in the public school educational system. In his remarks he said the current state of education is driven by self-interests.

Mr. Perry’s speech was the keynote address of a Thurgood Marshall College Fund series of discussions marking the 63rd anniversary of the landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision. In the case, the court ruled racial segregation in public schools is inherently unequal and unconstitutional based on the Equal Protection Clause of the 14th Amendment. close
