Rick Driggers, Homeland Security official, warned that Russia and others would try to influence the 2018 elections and said the department was working to eliminate those threats to U.S. election systems. Mr. Driggers spoke at a Chicago Council on Global Affairs panel on election security. He was joined by former NATO Ambassador Doug Lute, a congressional staffer with Illinois Democratic Senator Dick Durbin’s office, and a cybersecurity adviser to the Pentagon and Homeland Security Department. close
