Boris Johnson, who stepped down as British Foreign Secretary on July 9, 2018, delivered his resignation speech before members in the House of Commons. He talked about his reasons for leaving the post, which included disagreements with Prime Minister May over the handling and direction of negotiations in the U.K’s exit from the European Union, also known as “Brexit.” He told members that although he disagreed with the prime minister’s approach to Brexit, it was “not too late to save Brexit” and added that there was still time to make the necessary changes to the negotiations. close
