The House Financial Services Committee co-hosted a discussion with the Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, best known as the Helsinki Commission, on anti-corruption efforts focused on models used by the British government. One of the creators of the U.K.'s beneficial ownership registry talked about how the data in the registry helped British law enforcement and diplomatic officials better monitor and combat money laundering in U.K. banks and institutions.
