World War II veteran Norman Hatch talked about his time serving as a cameraman for the Marine Corps. Mr. Hatch supervised part of the team that recorded the second flag-raising on Mount Suribachi during the Battle of Iwo Jima. Later, he discussed serving as part of the Allied occupation force in Japan and seeing the devastation caused by the atomic bombing of Nagasaki. The National World War II Museum conducted this interview in 2013 for its oral history collection. This is the second of a two-part interview. close
