Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Dick Durbin (D-IL) said it is “unfortunate” that the Senate would have to vote to discharge the Supreme Court nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson from the committee after members were deadlocked on her nomination by a party-line vote. Senator Durbin added that “she’s more prepared to serve on the high court than perhaps any nominee in living memory” before outlining her credentials and judicial record. close
