Former Attorney General William Barr (Trump administration) joined conservative activists at the National Review Institute’s 2023 “Ideas Summit.” Mr. Barr, who discussed the rule of law, touched on the news of former President Trump’s indictment regarding alleged hush money paid to adult film performer Stormy Daniels when Mr. Trump was a 2016 presidential candidate. Mr. Barr said it was “the archetypal abuse of the prosecutorial function to engage in a political hit job, and it’s a disgrace.” close
