Following leadership remarks on the death of Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), who passed away the previous evening, lawmakers continued working on legislation to extend funding through November 17 to avert a government shutdown at midnight on September 30. Members also confirmed two U.S. attorney nominations for four-year terms: Todd Gee, Southern District of Mississippi; and Tara McGrath, the Southern District of California.
