Brian Gipe, acting assistant secretary of the Veterans Affairs (VA) Department’s Office of Accountability, gave his opening statement in this brief part of a House Veterans' Affairs subcommittee hearing on accountability at the VA and whistleblower protections. He told subcommittee members the department had implemented Inspector General recommendations, which include whistleblower training and an attorney investigative division. close
