Rep. Andy Kim (D-NJ) discussed his policy priorities for the second year of the 118th Congress with Axios, which he said included lowering costs and focusing on mental health. He also faulted the House Republican-majority for ineffective management, specifically negotiations over long-term funding for the government, saying they were “not interested in getting things done. They’ve been much more interested in playing partisan politics...” In September, Rep. Kim announced that he would challenge incumbent Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) in a 2024 primary election, shortly after news broke that Sen. Menendez was indicted on federal bribery charges. close
