The Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Intellectual Property held a hearing about updating patent-eligibility law. The bill under consideration was the bipartisan Patent Eligibility Restoration Act, which aims to bring more clarity to existing patent law in order to revitalize U.S. innovation in critical technologies, such as medical diagnostics and artificial intelligence.
