“Eclipses have a special power ... not only to unify us on Earth, but to further science and discovery,” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson during a press briefing on preparations for the April 8 total solar eclipse from NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. The administrator was joined by NASA leadership, including Deputy Administrator Pam Melroy, and the director of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s Office of Space Weather Observations.
