National Transportation Safety Board Chair Jennifer Homendy briefed the press on the NTSB’s investigation of a cargo ship striking the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, which led to the bridge’s collapse. She said it was too early to verify reports that the crash was due to a power failure from the Singapore-based ship and could not confirm if there were any fatalities. She also said that the Coast Guard was assisting with a search and rescue mission.
