Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen delivered remarks on what democracy means to her at the McCain Institute’s annual Sedona Forum in Arizona. She said democracy consists of three main pillars: accountability, economic freedom, and strong, independent institutions that uphold the rule of law. Secretary Yellen also explained why democracy is good for economics and promoted the record of the Biden administration. After her speech, she was interviewed by Arizona State University President Michael Crow. close
