Vice President Gore and Prime Minister Major briefed the press on recent events in former Yugoslavia during a photo opportunity at the White House. They discussed the NATO “no-fly zone” and the Serbian violation that brought about the downing of four Serbian planes. Prime Minister Major is in the U.S. for talks with President Clinton and Vice President Gore in addition to a planned visit to Pittsburgh, PA where a number of Major’s relatives once lived. close
