NASA Administrator Daniel Goldin spoke about how NASA will modernize air travel over the next twenty years. He stressed that the most important goal was to increase safety to keep accidents infrequent as the number of air travelers grows rapidly. He also outlined other goals, such as reducing noise and air pollution from airplanes and reducing air travel costs and flight durations. close
