Psychology professor Vamik Volkan discussed his book, Bloodlines: From Ethnic Pride to Ethnic Terrorism. In the book, Mr. Volkan applies a psychoanalytic approach to the study of various ethnic conflicts around the world, including the former Yugoslavia, Cyprus and the Middle East, seeking to understand the roots of conflict and to propose strategies to reduce the chances for ethnic conflict.
