Majority Leader Mitch McConnell speaks on the Senate floor following an initial conversation with Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer about how the Senate will conduct the impeachment trial of President Trump in the New Year. The two leaders remain at an impasse over witness and document requests. Earlier, Speaker Pelosi indicated that she would withhold articles of impeachment and the naming of impeachment managers until the details of the Senate trial are worked out and made public. Senator McConnell calls the move "unusual" and suggests that House Democrats have gotten "cold feet" and don't want to proceed with a trial. close
