At a news conference to provide an update on Missouri's response to the conronavirus pandemic, Governor Mike Parson (R) addresses the Memorial Day weekend gathering at the Lake of the Ozarks where hundreds of people abandoned social-distancing practices and gathered in close quarters, saying, "poor decisions were made" and that failure to adhere to the practices could be "potentially dangerous for everyone, especially our most at-risk individuals." However the governor says the people who gathered at the holiday spot represented only a "small sample" of how Missourians behaved over the Memorial Day weekend. close
