During her briefing, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki is asked about the possibility of the federal government supporting vaccine passports. "The government is not now, nor will we be supporting a system that requires Americans to carry a credential," Psaki says. This comes as private companies and the United Kingdom consider implementing some form of a vaccine passport. Psaki says the idea, which originated in the private sector is likely to be concluded there, but adds that the administration will issue guidance that addresses Americans' concerns about privacy and discrimination. close
