Representatives Steve Horn (R-California), Thomas Davis (R-Virginia), and Connie Morella (R-Maryland) issued a report card on the government’s ability to cope with potential computer problems resulting from the date change on January 1, 2000. They said that while most federal agencies were prepared, the Departments of Defense, Justice, Treasury, and Health and Human Services still needed to ensure some crucial systems were compliant with federal guidelines.
