State Department officials announced that the U.S. would renew full diplomatic relations with Libya and talked to reporters about the decision, security cooperation with the international community, and the importance of Libya’s removal from the State Department’s list of countries supporting international terrorism. They also answered questions from the reporters and expressed their hope that Libya could be a useful to other states sponsoring terrorism. close
