Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), a candidate for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination, held a campaign rally at Gateway High School in Monroeville, Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh. Senator Cruz told voters that the election would come down to the candidate with the best plan for jobs, freedom, and security. He said that Republicans needed to unite behind his campaign because he was the only one who could defeat Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton.
