The U.S. Senate dedicated a bust of former Vice President Spiro Agnew. A 1896 resolution dictates that every former vice president is entitled to a bust in the Senate wing of the Capitol. The statue was commissioned in 1992 and cost taxpayers about $50,000. With the completion of this statue, former Vice President Dan Quayle becomes the only former vice president not to have a bust on display at the Capitol. close
