Following opening remarks by Michael Van Dusen and Larry Diamond, a panel of experts talked about the status of Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Topics included whether the United Nations should continue nuclear suspension negotiations with Iran, and European Union policy. David Albright talked about technical nuclear development items such as gas centrifuges for enriching uranium and dismantling nuclear development equipment. Henry Sokolski talked about the safety of Iran’s light water nuclear reactor. Professor Najmeddin Meshkati and Shahram Chubin commented on the previous presentations and talked about nuclear accidents. Then, the participants answered audience members' questions. close
