Mr. Wood, a retired Marine, talked about his book, Mud: A Military History, published by Potomac Books. Using soldiers' memoirs and interviews, he described how mud played a role in shaping troop morale, military geography, battlefields, and counter-mobility. After his presentation he responded to audience members' questions.
