Empire of Liberty
This was a program in the History and Biography Pavilion of the 10th annual National Book Festival, held on the National Mall.
Gordon Wood talked about his book Empire of Liberty: A History of the Early Republic, 1789-1815 (Oxford University Press, USA, 2009). In his book he presents a history of the United States from 1789 to the end of the War of 1812. He responded to questions from members of the audience.
