Democratic presidential nominee Governor Clinton spoke to the general board of the AFL-CIO in Washington, DC. In his remarks, Gov. Clinton criticized the economic proposals of President Bush, claiming that the president’s tax cut was “one more incredible promise” because the president did not specify what programs would be cut in order to pay for the tax cut. Governor Clinton was endorsed today by the AFL-CIO. He also was endorsed by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the first time they have endorsed a Democratic candidate in twenty years. close
