The Constitutional Controversy over D.C. Statehood was one of the second-prize middle school winners in C-SPAN Classroom’s StudentCam documentary contest. Julianne Garnett, Marijke Friedman, and Kinsey Lee, eighth graders at Eastern Middle School in Silver Spring, Maryland, produced this video on Article 4, Section 3 on the Constitution.

C-SPAN Classroom’s StudentCam video documentary contest is an annual national competition in which middle and high school students produce a documentary on a specific theme. The 2018 theme was: “The Constitution and You.” close
