Angela Stent, a Georgetown professor and author, discussed the history and building of the Berlin Wall and the events leading up to its dismantling on November 9, 1989.

This program was part of an American History TV and “Washington Journal” three-hour program from the Newseum in Washington, D.C., marking the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. After its construction, the wall symbolized the ideological Cold War divisions between East and West. Other guests included authors Hope Harrison and Steve Vogel. Also, Carrie Christoffersen talked about the Newseum’s exhibit on Cold War Berlin. close
