Treasury Secretary Lloyd Bentsen spoke to a luncheon audience at the World Affairs Council to advocate passage of the North American Free Trade Agreement. The agreement would reduce tariffs on trade between the U.S., Mexico and Canada to spur trade between the three countries. He discussed the deficit reduction plans of the Clinton administration, and the side agreements to the North American Free Trade Agreement involving environmental and labor. close
