Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said he hopes the Senate would be able to move forward and pass the bipartisan gun violence bill, stating, “I think it’s a significant step in the right direction.” His remarks came as he and other members of Senate Republican leadership spoke with reporters following their weekly caucus luncheon.
