The Senate deadlocked 49-49 on moving forward with a campaign finance disclosure bill that would have required groups to disclose donors that give $10,000 during an election cycle. Members also confirmed Amanda Bennett to lead the U.S. Agency for Global Media, and Arati Prabhakar to be the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director. Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) also filed cloture on the short-term funding bill to keep the government open beyond the end of the fiscal year on September 30, 2022. close
