House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) spoke to reporters following a closed-door conference meeting on an impeachment inquiry into President Biden. The speaker also briefed reporters on the latest negotiations with conservative House members who have thwarted his plan to pass measures to fund the government and avoid a government shutdown.
