Representatives of each military service branch described their expedited transfer polices for service members who report sexual misconduct. They spoke before he 16-member Defense Advisory Committee, which comprises individuals with experience in the investigation, prosecution and defense of sexual assault allegations and is tasked with reporting its findings to the Secretary of Defense and the armed services committees of Congress.

The Defense Advisory Committee on Investigation, Prosecution, and Defense of Sexual Assault in the Armed Forces was created by Congress in 2016 to advise the Defense Secretary and congressional armed services committees on the investigation, prosecution and defense of allegations of sexual misconduct in the military. close
